About Me
I am a junior here at FGCU, and I am majoring in Elementary Education. I currently live in Fort Myers. I was born in Anaheim, CA, but moved to Lakeland, Fl when I was seven. I lived in Lakeland until I moved to Fort Myers for school after graduating high school. I attended Scott Lake Elementary in Lakeland, then Lakeland Highlands Middle School, and then George Jenkins High School. In high school, I was active in Key Club, FCCLA, National Honor Society, and Girl Scouts. I was also very active in the on campus preschool and the Early Childhood classes. I have worked in the Kid’s Club at Lifestyles Family Fitness, as an usher for the Lakeland Flying Tigers Minor League Baseball team, and as a hostess at Denny’s. I currently babysit for the same family three times a week and work at the Bath & Body Works in Coconut Point. I worked with children in the Kid’s Club and babysitting. I have volunteered with children at Kid’s at College at Polk State College, with Girl Scouts, the Lakeland Assemblies Cotillion Club, in the preschool in high school, and while tutoring during block two last semester. My parents and my younger brother live in Lakeland, Fl. My father works in the IT department for FedEx as a Director of Application Development. My mother volunteers very often at my brother’s high school and with his Boy Scout troop. She works for many different organizations. She works for The Lakeland Bar Association, Leadership Lakeland Alumni Association, National Association for Women Business Owners, and Junior Achievements. Before I was born and before we moved to Florida, my mother was a middle school English teacher. My dad graduated from Penn State University and my mom graduated from Shippensburg College (which is now Shippensburg University). They are both from Chambersburg, PA. My little brother is 16 years-old and is a sophomore at George Jenkins High School.
